Here and gone is another exciting anime convention, and this time it’s North America’s largest anime convention, Anime Expo. We had a fantastic time this year. For us, everything went smoothly, but this was not the case for everyone.

I opened my front door after work today to find two of my housemates watching One Punch Man and discussing Stephen Universe. Another one is working on a Arios model in our craft room while someone played Xenoverse in one room and Tales of Berseria. Yes it is a lot of people. It is also a big house. The point, however, is that we are fortunate enough to be a household of geeks. (In case you did not know, pretty much all of Doomtastic shares a house and there are a few other geeks here besides). We kind of live the nerd life as our roommate says.
We are actually here to talk about two different series that are on fairly new up on Netflix, A Series of Unfortunate Events and Voltron: Legendary Defender. Unfortunate Events (on Friday the 13th) came out one week ago today and Voltron, of course, was released today. Chances are that if you are reading this, you are probably aware of at least one of these shows if not both. I hope you are, especially with the fantastical trailers and splash pages that have been released for both series. And if you are not, you will be converts after this article. Otakon has passed, August is winding down and Labor Day weekend is right around the corner.
